Why Should I Choose

Take-Home Teeth Whitening?

Take-home teeth whitening allows you to avoid spending more time in the dentist’s chair, and lets you treat yourself at home. You’ll get a set of custom trays, a few tubes of whitening compound, and a set of instructions from Dr. Messenger. You’ll treat yourself over the course of a few weeks and you will be left with a smile that looks bright and beautiful.

Take-home teeth whitening delivers the same great results as in-office whitening, but it does take longer to see the same results. Some patients prefer this, however. The longer treatment time means the whitening effects appear more gradually, so it will not be as obvious to others that you have had your teeth whitened. Take-home kits are also typically more affordable than in-office whitening treatments.

The Placement Process

For Veneers

After Dr. Nicole Messenger has approved you for treatment, placing veneers typically requires only two appointments at Messenger Family Dentistry.
At your first treatment, your teeth will be prepared for veneers. Dr. Messenger will clean your mouth and numb the treatment area. Once you are numb, she will remove a thin layer of enamel from each one of your teeth that will be receiving a veneer. This must be done to ensure a seamless, perfect fit. Next, you will have impressions taken of your teeth. We’ll send these impressions to one of our partner dental labs, where your veneers will be custom-made.

This takes 2-3 weeks, so you will be sent home with a set of temporary veneers in the meantime. Once your permanent veneers arrive at Messenger Family Dentistry, we will schedule your follow-up appointment. At this appointment, Dr. Messenger will check each of your veneers to make sure that they fit perfectly. Then, each one will be bonded into place permanently, restoring your smile.

What Can I Expect

From the Whitening Process?

First, you’ll need to come into our office to get a set of custom trays built for your teeth. Dr. Messenger will take dental impressions of your teeth and send them to a dental lab. You’ll come back in a few weeks when your custom trays arrive at our office.

You’ll receive your trays, your whitener, and instructions from Dr. Messenger. In most cases, you will need to whiten your teeth once per day for an hour, and repeat the process for about 2-3 weeks. The powerful peroxide compounds in the whitener will break the bonds that hold surface stains onto your teeth, and restore the natural white color of your enamel. After a few weeks of treatment, your smile will look brand new, beautiful, and brilliant!

How Long Will

My Teeth Stay White?

Your teeth usually will stay white for at least a year after your treatment. Taking precautions like brushing after drinking staining beverages (coffee, wine, tea) and using a whitening toothpaste and mouthwash that contain peroxide can help extend the lifespan of your newly whitened teeth. Dr. Messenger can also give you a yearly touch-up to keep your smile brilliant.

How Much Does

Teeth Whitening Cost?

The cost of teeth whitening can vary based on several factors, such as the brand of the whitening product you choose, your level of staining, and more. However, it is usually an affordable cosmetic treatment if you are looking to revive and rejuvenate your smile on a budget.
